July 2008 Project Update
Providing a safe environment for the public and minimizing traffic delays during construction remains a primary concern for the design-build team.
Construction continues on the bridge foundations. In addition, work on the site ponds (which filter stormwater run-off from the construction site) is almost complete. The embankment wall is also being built along the western bridge approach.
Flaggers are periodically directing traffic through construction. The speed limit is 45 miles per hour in the the construction zone.
